‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ sequel with new cast and director.
David Fincher’s Oscar-winning 2011 remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is getting a sequel … or rather a reboot sequel.
The follow-up is titled The Girl in the Spider’s Web and will feature an entirely new cast, new director and based on a new book.
Director Fede Alvarez, who helmed Don’t Breathe and Evil Dead, will sit behind the lens of this adaptation and is already meeting with actresses to replace Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander.
Shooting is expected to begin in September for an October 2018 release.
