The four year hiatus is over! Grinspoon are getting back together for a run of shows from June to September to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut album Guide to Better Living, which they will be re-releasing with a bunch of B-Sides and previously unreleased material along with a special edition red vinyl due to be released on the 23rd of June.
And for fans of their early material the band will be playing Guide to Better Living in its entirety on the tour along with a few fan favourites as well, so now you’ll be able to sing/scream along to DCx3, Boundary, Champion, Sickfest, Just Ace, Repeat and all of the classic tunes being belted out by Phil, Pat, Joe and Kristian.
The tour will kick off on the 23rd of June in Victoria with a bunch of shows within a couple of hours drive from Bathurst:
Friday 7th July, Enmore Theatre, Sydney
Thursday 31st August, Cambridge Hotel, Newcastle
Thursday 14th September, Entrances Leagues Club, Bateau Bay
Friday 15th September, Waves, Wollongong
Saturday 16th September, UC Refectory, Canberra
Wednesday 20th September, CSU, Wagga Wagga
Grinspoon have also been announced on the bill for the Gold Coast’s Shakafest which goes down on the 19th August and will also feature DZ Deathrays, Tired Lion and Butterfingers.
Jamieson said about the upcoming tour ‘playing this album from start to finish is going to be one of the most challenging, enjoyable and kick-ass things I’ll ever do’. Can’t wait to see these guys back on the road!
