Four video games have now been added to the Video Game Hall of Fame. See if you’re a fan of these:

  • Donkey Kong
  • Halo: Combat Evolved
  • Pokémon Red and Green
  • Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior.

They’ll be joining the 12 other games which includes such titles as The Sims, Doom, Pac-Man, Sonic the Hedgehog and the Legend of Zelda.

All 12 games are now on permanent display in The Strong museum in Rochester, New York.

Yes, I know what you’re thinking; these games came out over a decade or two ago, why are they only just NOW being added to the Video Game Hall of Fame? That’s because the Hall of Fame first began in 2015. And now they’re playing catch-up.

Nominations for 2018 are already open and you can vote for your favourites here. What would you put in? I reckon next year Call of Duty will make the mark, but I really hope Metroid sneaks its way in their too.
