New album from The Cranberries to be released next year

Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia / 99.3 B-Rock FM

Following the passing of their lead singer Dolores O’Riordan earlier this year, there was a question mark over whether new material would be released from the remaining members of Irish band The Cranberries. In a written statement on the band’s website, the band have announced that they intend to release a new album next year. Before her death Dolores O’Riordan had already laid down vocals for the new material they were working on, in fact the band had planned to release the new album this month which would’ve marked the 25th anniversary of the release of their debut album but that was put on hold. The statement says that ‘After much consideration we have decided to finish what we started’.
