The Oils to record new music?

Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia / 99.3 B-Rock FM

The dust has settled on the triumphant return of Midnight Oil with the Great Circle World tour wrapping up late last year. But what does the future hold for the Oils. Yes, it was great to see them back on stage touring to sell out crowds around the world, but was that it? Well, no if recent interviews with Peter Garrett and guitarist Jim Moginie is anything to go by. Moginie recently told AAP that it was good to be back making noise with the band, going on to say that he couldn’t see any reason as to why the band shouldn’t be making new music. His sentiments were echoed by Peter Garrett telling News Limited that the band owe it to themselves to see if they can make new music. If a new album is recorded it will be the first since 2002’s Capricornia. Maybe another tour after that?
