Well the Oscars this year will certainly go down in history as one of the most talked about. Now every man, woman and child have heard about the big Best Picture blunder at the end of the show, but did you hear about the other, more subtle, mistake?

During the In Memoriam segment of the 89th Academy Award Ceremony the photo of Australian producer Jan Chapman was used in place of Janet Patterson.
The screen showed Janet Patterson Costume Designer, but Jan Chapman – who is still very much alive – was in for a shock when she saw her face next to her friend’s name.
Jan and Janet both worked together on the 1993 film The Piano, Chapman has also worked on films such as The Babadook and Lantana.

Patterson, who passed away in October last year was nominated for four Academy Awards for Best Costume during the 66th, 69th, 70th and 82nd Oscars ceremonies.
