I challenge you to find someone who hasn’t fallen in love with Sony’s critically and financially acclaimed Horizon Zero Dawn. What’s not to love? It’s got huge robot fights, a kick-arse protagonist and a seriously engaging story. Well thankfully, back in June, we found out Aloy’s story hasn’t ended yet.

Fans were teased about an upcoming expansion called The Frozen Wilds during this year’s E3 but we haven’t heard much since. Now we’re excited to say it has an official release date!

Developer Guerrilla Games has just announced The Frozen Wilds will release digitally on PS4 November 7th.

According to a teaser trailer which was shown at E3 (below) Aloy’s next adventure will send her to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where unique and deadly machines dwell.

The trailer’s description reads “Beyond the northern mountains, the borderlands of the Banuk tribe challenge all who dare enter to survive the extremes. But now this frozen wilderness harbors a new threat, and for Aloy, a new mystery – one she’s determined to solve.”

“The Frozen Wilds contains additional content for Horizon Zero Dawn, including new storylines, characters and experiences in a beautiful but unforgiving new area.”

I don’t care if the game is set in a swamp; I’m just keen to jump back into that world! November 7th can’t come soon enough.
