A big of a war of words over a pronunciation has erupted between fans of Blink 182 in the USA and UK. The transatlantic divide was caused by Ian Karmel from the Late Late Show with James Corden tweeting that UK fans called Blink 182; Blink one-eight-two, whereas fans in the USA call them one-eighty-two.
Step in Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge from the band to throw in a bit of trolling. Hoppus tweeting that it didn’t matter which way the numbers are said the important thing is that the B of Blink is lower case. Tom DeLonge meanwhile added his two cents tweeting it’s actually supposed to be said Blink eighteen two. As for us I’m a traditionalist it will always be 1-8-2.
