Did we hear this right? Noel Gallagher wants to break up Foo Fighters? During a performance in San Diego last weekend Noel Gallagher, who’s touring with his High Flying Birds said he’d like it to happen.
But it appears to be all tongue in cheek, because during Foo Fighter’s headlining slot at the UK’s Reading Festival, Dave Grohl told the crowd that he was going to start a petition to get Oasis back together. This was backed up with Taylor Hawkins bass drum displaying a picture of Noel and Liam (probably the only time in 8 years the brothers have been seen on stage together).
Clearly word got to Noel of Dave’s petition, so he asked the crowd in San Diego if they were going to sign it, he then counteracted their enthusiasm saying he was going to start a petition to break up the Foo Fighters. We get the feeling he wasn’t serious because dedicated the next two songs of his set to Uncle Dave
