Finally! After what has felt like an eternity the team behind Download Festival Australia have announced the dates for next year’s festival and when the all-important line up will be announced. There had been speculation as far back as July that Download wasn’t going to be happening in 2020, but fortunately that has now been put to bed.
The festival will once again be happening over Melbourne and Sydney on the 20th and 21st of March next year. As to who is playing? The line-up will be announced next Wednesday the 6th of November. Speculation last month suggested that Slipknot who will be the headliners but with the dates announced, that won’t be happening with the band playing dates in Japan with Korn.
So who could it be? Names being thrown around are: System of A Down, Tool, Deftones, Rammstein, Machinehead, Beartooth, Bad Wolves, Steel Panther and Killswitch Engage. Some of that could be wishful thinking though. We’ll find out next Wednesday!
