Deftones fans have been eagerly anticipating the follow up to 2016’s Gore with baited breath for any information. Last weekend Deftones lead singer Chino Moreno was able to give a ballpark timeline as to when the new slab will be unleashed, telling NBC 7 San Diego that the recording process for their new album isn’t something that’s being rushed.
In fact, the band have been working on material for close to a year on and off, with Moreno stating that they ‘aren’t the kind of band to lock themselves in the studio until the album is done’ going on to say that the band are just enjoying the song writing process.
But, he did state that the new album will be released at some point next year hopefully earlier than later. So get ready, Deftones 9th studio album is coming!
