RATM playing at Splendour?

Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia / 99.3 B-Rock FM

A lot happened yesterday with regards to Rage Against The Machine and a possible Australian tour. It all stemmed from a supposedly leaked poster on Instagram that named a bunch of shows for the reformed rockers all over the globe including a headlining slot at Glastonbury and a date that would suggest that the band will be one of the headliners of Splendour in the Grass in July. But in the current day of photoshop, if it feels too good to be true then it probably is.

Various music media websites revealed the information as a possible leak only for the ‘leak’ to be retracted at about 2.30 yesterday afternoon. It was fake. A troll who notoriously posts images online of fake tour posters and festival line ups contacted the media outlets that reported the story to reveal that he was the one behind the poster.

Yep, hate to say it, but all that excitement about a possible Rage Against the Machine tour turned out to be 100% fake. But with the band reformed, you never know if a tour down under could eventually happen.
