Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia / 99.3 B-Rock FM

The big news has been the devastating bushfires that have been occurring for the past couple of months and the incredible amount of generosity and fundraising that has taken place within the arts community.

Comedian Celeste Barber, what a superstar, raised over $50 million got the ball rolling, then Pink stepped up to help out her adopted homeland chipping in $500,000, Metallica followed suit pledging $750,000, Kylie Minogue and co helped out with half a mil, then Sir Elton announced during a recent Sydney show he’s donating $1,000,000.

Then on top of that pretty much every Australian band and comedian put on benefit shows to help raise money as well. Then the news has come that Sound Relief that helped raise money after the Victorian Bushfires and the Queensland floods will be putting on another event, although that has not been announced when, where and who will be playing.

And TEG Dainty have put together a huge line up for Fire Fight Australia that will be happening at ANZ Stadium on the 16th of February to be headlined by Queen and Adam Lambert, along with Alice Cooper, K.D Lang, Amy Shark, Baker Boy, Daryl Braithwaite, Delta Goodrem, Grinspoon, Guy Sebastian, Hilltop Hoods, Icehouse, John Farnham, Peking Duk and many more.
